Mr.Yeshwanth Shenoy is a practicing lawyer and is an expert on Biodiversity Law and was the Legal Consultant to the National Biodiversity Authority, a Regulatory Authority under the Government of India. He started his career as a trial lawyer and then practiced as a counsel in both High Court of Bombay and High Court of Kerala. Thereafter, he shifted to the corporate world as a consultant and has worked for Larsen and Toubro, the largest engineering and construction conglomerate and British Telecom, the UK based Telecom giant.

Mr.Shenoy has an LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws from Turin University Italy, which is a joint programme with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation). He also has a Masters in Law in Commercial and Consumer Laws with International Business Transaction from Mumbai University. He has done specialisation courses in International Trade Law and European Business and Competition Law for which he was granted a scholarship by the Italian Foreign Ministry and University Institute of European Studies. Mr.Shenoy also briefly interned at the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute in Italy where he worked on issues relating to International Security and Terrorism.

He has also authored books on Company Law and Biodiversity law and is a regular contributor of articles to various Law Journals. He has presented papers on varied subjects in national and international conferences. He is also a visiting faculty at the K.C.Law College, Mumbai.
